This work is about the bastardization of folk history by companies like disney. The dark textured, layered background (with holes in it that we accept) is the mythology. Then the bubblegum pink is 'projected' onto the top of it, obliterating the black and cutting the thorns that make the old stories so wickedly twisted and wonderfully fucked up.
