I am interested in such things as stock images, adverts, images from magazines and imitation materials. They all have the potential to bring about in me feelings of distrust, pity, disappointmentand sometimes cheerful disbelief.  Through the exploration of these materials in relation to concepts such as religion, love and obsession, I aim to draw out a poeticism in the form of failure, and a playful absurdity that might come from satirical and ironic viewpoints. I look to use the displacement of materials from their original context into that of ‘art’ as a foundation for an overall investigative process which fundamentally explores the meaning and value of what is considered ‘real’ in the modern day. www.christopher-lee.co.uk
